Valencia Basket extends Jasiel Rivero's contract until the end of the 2026-27 season

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Cuban-Spanish power forward Jasiel Rivero (2.06m, Havana, 31/10/1993, 32 years old) to extend the temporary contract he signed with our men's team until the end of the 2026-27 season.

The Cuban international joined practices on August 24 to help strengthen practices due to the absence of players called up by their national teams. He subsequently signed a one-month temporary contract on August 31.

So far this season, Rivero has appeared in three official games, averaging 8.6 points, shooting 2-for-3 from three-point range, and grabbing 4 rebounds (2.6 of them offensive) for an average performance rating of 8.3.

In what will be his third season as a Taronja player, following his two previous campaigns with Valencia Basket between 2021 and 2023, Jasiel has already increased his total appearances for the club to 108 games. During his first stint, he averaged 10.8 points, 4 rebounds, and a 12.2 performance rating, and was named Liga Endesa MVP of the Month twice, in October 2022 and December 2022.
